I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and now live and work in London. I have a PhD in Film specialising in science fiction films about memory and technology, which is based on my first feature film Mnemophrenia; and am a Film Lecturer at the University of Essex, UK.
I have recently put my knowledge and experience into my first feature film Mnemophrenia - a multi-generation-spanning three part anthology asking "what-if" about the impact of advanced virtual reality on human identity and society. For more information on Mnemophrenia, visit the dedicated website:
Prior to this, I have directed four short films, two of which are award-winning and all of which have played in various international film festivals. Check them out on the Films page.
I am also involved in two educational programmes: a film-based Professional Development Course for education professionals called Integrating Film in Education (IFE) (www.ifeprogramme.com); and a scriptwriting system called the Interactive Writing System, aimed at writers, directors and actors, helping them develop a script through guided improvisation. This system formed the basis of the scripts in Mnemophrenia, and now I am opening the system out to the public via group workshops.
Thanks for dropping by!
